Hi! My name is Oliver and I am a 22 year old Software Engineer, recently graduated from the University of California, San Diego. My focus at this stage of my career is mainly on web development; learning and crafting my skills in both front-end and back-end design so that I can make useful applications that can benefit society. I am especially interested in web development because since the web has become so ubiquitous, the potential number of people web applications can affect far surpasses apps that have more limited scopes.
However, my overall goal is to eventually start working in the autonomous car industry. Self-driving vehicles are a reality just on the horizon and it will have substantial effects on the way society operates. I want to be able to contribute to what will perhaps be one of the most revolutionary technological advancements in our lifetime.
Tesla's autonomous car leverages multiple cameras to perceive objects around the vehicle. This demo shows off the car parking itself after the driver has been dropped off.
